FREE THE PANTHER 21

In the fervent cultural climate of the late Sixties, twenty-one members of the New York’s Black Panther Party and their radical lawyers brave an uphill legal battle to prove the Panthers’ innocence against a hostile political and judiciary system that wants them guilty of horrendous crimes and call them the “most dangerous threat to the internal security of the United States of America”.

Courtroom rumbles, prison rebellions, conflicts inside the party, scandalous government misconduct revelations, and a booming outside protest and support: this is the story of The Panther 21 Trial, told by its surviving protagonists.

What really happened on April 2 1969?
